Congratulations Kathleen & Max on your BIG day! It was a lovely day at Casa De Las Flores (on of my favorite venues). I did flowers for the women and the ceremony and Kathleen made several of her own decorations to incorporate. She made the cutest white and pink tissue flower wreath, I forgot to snap an image of it, typical. I asked how long it took, "oh about 10 hours". She also made all the centerpieces and a manzanita tree with their place cards and guests gifts. Bravo for spending all that time to create a really warm and lovely event!

Kathleen created these terrariums herself for her table centerpieces. Each table represented a different place that she and Max enjoy. I thought they turned out really well and wanted to share a DIY idea.

Sneak Peek, Did someone say LEMONS!
I've got a great wedding coming up next weekend, so I've been a busy bee gathering different yellow trinkets, making table #'s, and prepping for my three different centerpieces. Here are a couple table #'s, because I just can't wait two weeks to share. Stay tuned for all the fun surprises planned for this BIG day!

A friend
I love to garden as you know by now, and for the past 3 and a half years I have been planting items that I can use in arrangements and to attract birds and insects. Many years later I have the wildlife I've been wanting, finally. I have moths, bees, hummingbirds, and a daily visitor who I refer to as "my friend". This friend of mine has told her friends because I have seen more than one at a time and a yellow and black beauty as well. Unfortunately I don't carry my camera with me every time I go outdoors. I can say this little beauty has graced my yard for the past several weeks. Although butterflies live a short life, not sure their life span, I'm convinced this is the same one back day after day getting the goods.

Recent Party
I've been wanting to share what it looks like through my eyes from the beginning stages, after I've purchased flowers, cleaned them, and have them waiting for me to design, to the end result, ready for delivery. Although it's semi vague here is a general idea of what happens.

Treasures
As you all know by now I love all things vintage, especially beautiful ribbon. This past Sunday at the Alameda Flea market, I was on the hunt for pedestal cake plates and white milk glass, but I can't ever say know to beautiful ribbons. I wanted to share my finds, and yes I did find the cake plates and a couple pieces of milk glass. I will share those as well shortly. For now the ribbons and velvet leaves takes center stage.

Sara & David
Okay, maybe this isn't as honest as I should be, but that is the way I roll. This was my FAVORITE wedding yet, right up my alley in every way, romance, vintage, unique, and fun.
When I first met with Sara, we really hit it off, by the end of our meeting she knew she wanted to use my services, that always feels really great. She had a color pallet, yes I did my normal list of items, colors, and overall feel, but on a few occasions she said " I trust you do do what you think looks best". Well having that creative freedom gets me more than excited, and in any case pushes me to produce exceptional unique creations. In my true fashion I missed getting photos of the the corsages, but you will get a good idea of the day. I loved the end result and am really excited to share it will you.

Debbie & Jason
When I first met Debbie she had stunning sketches of her bridesmaid dress, and from that second I knew I had to be a part of this wedding. She wanted romance with a vintage feel, "right up my alley" I thought. Debbie and Jason celebrated their big day at the Diablo Country Club, and that it is a stunning venue, not to mention the private drive to get there. I wanted to move right in with all the charm and beauty as we approached, but I think it's a little too hot for my liking. The temperature reached 100 and that is not something I care to live in. All in all it was another perfect day and a wonderful couple.

Jaryce & Ramon
When I first met Jaryce I knew that she had spent a long time planning her dream wedding, and I was thrilled to be a small part of her BIG day. It's always so much fun to see the end result knowing secrets along the way. She had all the small details nailed, beautiful stationary throughout, crystals for all the arrangements, even hand made beaded accents, stunning crystal candle holders, hanging votive holders with beaded accents for the umbrellas outdoors, gold cake plates with crystal accents for the cigar table, and stunning displays for the head table. I'm not a professional photographer, but I try to get images to share with you. What I have doesn't begin to do justice to what the dining room and adjacent rooms looked like. Jaryce and Ramon your wedding was stunning and you too are one of a kind! Best wishes in your new endeavors as man and wife.

Brandi & Calvin
Brandi contacted me a few weeks before her wedding for personal flowers, and I just happened to have a free weekend.
We never met, not even on the day of, but I'd done two other friends weddings so she trusted I'd do my job well.
Congratulations Brandi & Calvin!
